you know what i really love about this outfit? the peplum tee is a fun take on a classic wardrobe staple - totally the kind of piece that will make everyone stop to ask you where you got it. the mix of a great blush and clear lip balm will give you a naturally flushed look (there is a reason nars called it "orgasm") and the statement accessories will pop against an otherwise pretty simple outfit. i love love love revlon nail enamel (i know, it's a drug store brand, but i promise you it's my go-to) and this color is perfect for spring! wait, what? it's still winter? it's hard to tell with the weather we've been having around these parts...

i'm not sure if you know this about me yet, but i LOVE mixing neutrals. different tones of brown (camel, taupe, beige and chocolate), grey, cream, black and especially those rosy pinks all look incredible together - it's my secret weapon for spicing up my winter wardrobe. i always gravitate towards darks during the winter months but i've been trying my hardest to employ color whenever i can. i love the little pops of brightness in the necklace and earrings in this outfit as well as a rich red lip paired with a nude nail (fyi, i just bought this nail color last night and painted my nails - consider me completely obsessed with it).

sailor is just about the most stylish and smart thing you could ever imagine! i have the most fun shopping for her (have you seen the clothes they make for girls these days?!) and apparently she's been wearing the outfit we bought for her birthday left and right... so we opted for more stylish duds. we topped off the gifts with a (belated) baby shower gift for beezus, sailor's soon-to-arrive little sister! yes, they kind of matched. no, we don't feel guilty about it... what's there to feel guilty about when they're just so dang cute?!
