when i was trying to figure out what to wear to paul & amanda's wedding, i was pretty set on cobalt blue (why? no idea... but once i get an idea in my head it is super difficult to fight it). then after hunting around h&m for something in the perfect shade, i spied this muted orange one-shoulder dress! risky for a redhead but i think it turned out okay!

i love mixing dark neutrals for fall. i think this juicy cocoon poncho is perfect over a high-rise skinny jean with a loosely-wrapped lightweight scarf. and hello, modcloth bigwigs? are you guys listening? you can totally send me a pair of those hayes valley boots at any time! i love the idea of a little yellow sock peeking out from above those boots and adding the tiniest pop of color... so dreamy!

hi, loves! yesterday the dream and i went down to boston to buy ourselves some nice duds for our friends paul & amanda's wedding in a couple of weeks! the dream owns a lot of separates in terms of fancywear but he doesn't actually own a really nice suit. so! we wandered around newbury street and i found myself a nice little dress, too... this is how i'm planning on styling it (with dramatic, '60s-style cat-eye liner, big lashes, bright red lips & the usual topknot). enjoy!

hello my sweets! i am currently getting ready to go on a fabulous lady date with my favorite gals from work... just did my nails, now doing hair & makeup (and of course deciding what to wear)! i wanted to post today's dreamy outfit in honor of my beautiful friend sof. she's been near and dear to my heart since my marriage began to dissolve and was such a strong support for me during that very difficult time. so when she asked me to help style her an outift for her brother's wedding i was obviously thrilled to be able to do it! here's what she wrote:

My brother is getting married this November and his fiancee has asked me to be in the wedding as a bridesmaid. dreamy boutique - bark

a few sundays ago a lovely lady came into my shop wearing one of the most gorgeous necklaces i've ever seen. it was simple and fun and i had to have it! when i asked her where she bought the necklace she told me she'd just come from the open market that has been happening on sundays this summer at strawberry banke (which happens to be around the corner from my house and on my way to work). i meant to get there a few weekends in a row but, well, i really like to sleep in! she gave my the card for the booth that the necklace came from - bark.

so this past sunday i woke up early and headed off to strawberry banke on my way to work to see if i could find the lovely ladies i'd heard all about from my customer. i flew by all of the other booths (sorry, other booths, i was on a mission!) and when i found the bark booth i almost fainted! i'm telling you, i wanted everything there. and the girls were so sweet! i walked away with the necklace i initially wanted, but believe you me it will not be my last purchase from these ladies. here's why...
