dreamy outfit - plus perfection (part 2)

hello little lovers! as promised, today's dreamy outfit is another plus outfit. this one has some pieces from target and some from forever 21 + (which has some really nice options for plus size clothing, as it turns out). i love tunic-length tanks so much, especially over leggings and with a little bootie... throw a long, drapey open cardigan on with a light scarf and this outfit transitions perfectly into fall. enjoy!

dreamy outfit - plus perfection

hello, my sweets! my beautiful friend bee asked me to do a style feature based around plus-sized clothing. she also suggested that i compose an outfit that i would dress her in (she has amazing style and is so gorgeous!) and i was so happy to be able to do it! i put together a number of really cute outfits and (just like the mama-to-be style that will continue over the next few months) i'll be posting new plus outfits every so often, too.

i think it's a shame that the fashion industry still mainly caters to tiny women but there are definitely more options now than ever in plus sizes. i love the idea of styling outfits for people whose bodies aren't <i>typical</i> or cookie cutter. petite women, plus women, curvy women (hello, body!), pregnant women (okay maybe that's some kind of typical?) - everyone should feel beautiful in their own skin. we all have our own issues with our bodies (hello, mainstream media!) but it is important to love ourselves as much as we can for as long as we can.

so my darlings, without further ado - here is the first of many plus-size outfits i have put together in honor of my beautiful bee and hopefully many more of you out there reading will be a bit inspired here, too!
