hello, my sweets! happy tuesday! i had the best weekend ever... saturday morning our dear friends jess, teddy and sailor welcomed the newest member of their family into the world! her name is beezus and she is tiny and pink and perfect. we went to the hospital to visit saturday evening and i have never, ever seen a person so tiny or so sweet. we are so elated for them!

here's what i wore to work on friday... i love this maxi skirt and it just went to 70% off so i snatched it up in a flash! it's a perfect transition piece and i love that it's high-waisted, too! enjoy...

what i wore ~ valentine's day off

our valentine's day was super dreamy... we both happened to have the day off which was just wonderful. we woke up late, snuggled, went to brunch and stuffed our faces with pancakes, and then took noodle for a super long walk around pierce island and then back into town to get ingredients for a delicious dinner. here's what i wore. enjoy!

we were lucky that the weather was nice enough that i could pose for photos outside without my big puffy coat! this is a spot on pierce island that overlooks the water. somewhere in that blurred mess behind me is our home... but looking at this photo, i really couldn't tell you where it is.

noodle snuck up during the photo sesh and i really couldn't resist a quick snuggle. do you love her furry leopard coat? she got so many compliments on it around town today!

we ended our evening by baking our favorite pumpkin cupcakes (recipe here) and dancing around the kitchen to some sweet tunes... not a terrible way to spend valentine's day, if you ask me!

what i wore ~ namesake color

hello, my loves! happy friday to you all! i am still trying to fight off this chest thing which i initially thought to be a throat thing, blech! you may or may not know that the name of this blog was spawned by my total love of all things peach and blush. those colors just make me swoon! this top is one of my favorite thrifting finds - it's silk and the fit is perfect!

i've had this vintage fur collar for quite some time - it was also a thrifting find. i love wearing it over sweaters (it reminds me of this alice + olivia sweater that i was totally lusting after) or tossing it on with my leather jacket!

it's rare that i paint my nails red these days... this was kind of a departure for me. usually it's a neutral of some sort (dark works best for retail... my nails get so dirty in the shop) but i decided to try out a new revlon color i bought a few weeks ago. it's called mon cherry and not only is it a great shade but it's scented, too! so sweet.

hello, peaches! yesterday was a lazy day off for the dreamboat and yours truly. he made breakfast, we ate breakfast, we watched the new episode of glee, watched the new episode of new girl, he worked on music and i worked on this here blog... speaking of which, what do you think of the new layout?! i didn't feel like putting on anything super fancy or fun, but i did put together a pretty decent outfit (if i do say so myself) for just sitting around doing work...

i actually own this blouse in cream as well as black. i think it's a great layering piece and it was super inexpensive! i think that combining a ton of design details can turn bad quickly but i actually really love the combination of lace, the hi-low hem and the open back...

these chloe heels are going to be a spring staple for me! not only are they super adorable but they're so comfortable! there's a hidden platform in there and the chunky wooden heels are perfect for the old brick sidewalks of portsmouth.

hello my sweeties. i'm so sorry for that quick bout of absence. i'm currently enjoying my "weekend" with my dreamy dreamboat and fending off a sore throat (worst!) with plenty of rest and emergen-c. here are some outfit photos from the other day - eva was kind enough to take them for me!

i've been experimenting with wearing my hair curly lately! it's definitly a different look than what i'm used to and it's taken some work to figure out how not to burn myself (ouch!) but i'm getting the hang of it. i think it's going to be more of an every-once-in-a-while thing than an everyday thing.
