bridesmaid hangout & wine tasting!

hello, loves! sorry for the blip in space over the past few days but i was so wrapped up in my lovely alex visiting! we wandered around and went thrifting and ate yummy food and had so much fun and it was so much fun to see her! i'm sad she had to go, but i am so grateful for the time we got to spend together.

last night after alex left i headed over to isis' house to hang out with her bridal party & taste a couple of the possible wines that they'll have at the wedding! lona brought a delicious baguette, three different types of cheese, yummy olives (which i only very recently discovered my love for) and gourmet cookies. amelia made toasted bruschetta topped with garlic, goat cheese, cucumber, salt and pepper - yummmmm!

the real treat of the evening was seeing isis in her wedding dress. she looked so beautiful! here are a couple of photos of the food and wine spread (before we dug in). enjoy!

girl's night in!

usually monday nights are my girl's night as the dream usually has band practice on mondays. this week, though, he had practice wednesday night - and last night he played a show in boston. i normally go to all of his shows (what can i say, i love the guy) but he had to head down there before i was out of work so i ended up with a girl's night in... and this is how i spent it!

watching pretty little liars! have you seen this show? i have a real softspot for teen dramas. my first love was gossip girl and this is my second... it's about a group of four high school girls trying to solve the cold-case murder of their best friend. so good!

painting my nails! this is a girl's night must for me. i work in retail and if i don't keep my nails painted in an opaque color they get dirty very easily - and that is not something i want my customers to see. this specific color is called "wet cement" and that's just what it looks like. i love sally hansen hard as nails xtreme wear nail color - it goes for about $4 a pop at your local drug store and lasts for a week! i use a clear revlon top coat et voila - a pro looking manicure at home.

eating maple's gelato! my favorite flavors are cardamom-ginger and, tonight's pick, maine sea salt caramel-almond. so delish! i hope you all had a great night!
