hello, my darlings! today we attempted to take outfit photos outside but it has been VERY blustery and it was pretty much impossible. worry not, there will be an outtake included at the end of this post for giggles' sake.
yesterday, my lovely friend kim and i went on a shopping adventure to exchange a sweater i had bought myself for christmas (well, the dream bought it for me, but i picked it out). it was super cute but itched me like CRAZY and kind of made me look like mrs. potato head... not in a good way. we popped into anthropologie and after looking around i scurried into the sale section and found a sweater i've been lusting after for weeks - and it was the last one!
i love that it's nipped at the natural waist and flips out a bit at the bottom like a skirt! what i love most about it, though, is how special it feels - almost like something my grandmother would have knit for me. it feels like an heirloom!
i feel like an ice skater in this sweater. normally i don't wear chunky knits because i feel like they just make me look bigger, but this just feels so feminine and pretty! the original price was way out of my league ($328) and even when they had their half-off sweaters & outerwear sale, i couldn't really justify it. but the one in the sale section had some marks on it (i think they'll come out when it's dry-cleaned) so they gave me an additional 40% off of the sale price - making it total just under $60!
